A Portion of Ed McClain Road to be Closed Beginning October 5

FREDERICK, Md. – A portion of Ed McClain Road will be closed between Emerald Crown Drive and 4639 Ed McClain Road beginning on or about October 5.

This closure will allow Kibler Construction Co., Inc., under Contract with Frederick County to construct a realignment of Ed McClain Road consistent with the approved plans for the Monrovia East West Connector project. Detour signs will be placed along Ed McClain Road, Fingerboard Road (MD 80), and Green Valley Road (MD 75).

The project is anticipated to continue through Spring 2027, weather permitting.
